Since 1992, Fundación Panama (The Panama Foundation) has been dedicated to serving the Panamanian community and the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Chartered in Washington, D.C., our nonprofit is dedicated to alleviating poverty, increasing awareness of social challenges, and providing financial support to social programs in both the District of Columbia and the Republic of Panama.

A Tradition of Giving Back: Supporting New Beginnings
Since its founding, Fundación Panamá has proudly upheld a heartfelt tradition of giving back to families in need in the Washington, D.C. community. Each year, the Foundation donates a thoughtfully prepared baby gift basket to a local hospital, offering support and encouragement to new parents during an important moment in their lives. In a meaningful nod to inclusivity and care, the baskets alternate each year between items for a baby girl and a baby boy.
This year marked a special milestone in this ongoing effort. Thanks to the generosity and continued support of our community, Fundación Panamá was able to expand its impact by donating three baby gift baskets—bringing comfort, joy, and essential items to even more families in need.
Through this simple yet powerful tradition, the Foundation continues its commitment to uplifting others and strengthening the bonds of community care.
